LRR 213:

Silver Belles

Though the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris have come to an end, there’s one thing that remains in the mind of Canadian rugby fans - the women’s Seven’s team had their best result to date, taking home the Silver medal. Upsetting hosts France, and favourties Australia, the Canadians met New Zealand in the Gold Medal match. And while they had the advantage at half-time, the Black Fern Sevens turned the screw to claim the Gold. However, this does nothing to dampen the spirits of the Canadian team, as they made their mark in Olympic and rugby history

The lads then look at Canada’s U20 Women’s results in the Transatlantic Quad tournament, as they beat USA, England (just!), and Wales fopr a clean sweep in the inaugural tournament, and coclude with the New England Free Jacks going back-to-back in San Diego, as they lifted the Shield for a second time.
