2024 and beyond

Following the tragic demise of the Toronto Arrows in November 2023, we have been asking ourselves on what direction we should take the podcast going forth.

While the Arrows were one of our primary focuses, the reality is that the loss of the team does not mean the death of all rugby in Canada; there are still plenty of Canadians competing in competitions all over the world, including MLR, Top14, and Premiership Women’s Rugby.

As 2024 begins, we have decide to make the following changes:

  • During the 2024 MLR season, we will produce episodes every 2 weeks of the regular season, and weekly episodes for the post-season.

  • Due to the restrictive access of the Top14, we will mention Canadian players when they produce viral moments, but we are unable to cover the Top14 in detail.

  • We aim to cover the Canadian players performances in Premiership Women’s Rugby as best as possible. Currently, only 1 PWR game is broadcast per round of competition, so we will focus on those games.

  • We will cover the Canadian Women in Pacific Four Series, WXV, and any test series, with weekly episodes.

  • We will cover the Canadian Men in the Pacific Nations Cup, and any test series, with weekly episodes.

  • We will cover any breaking news with an immediate episode, when applicable.

  • Outside of the MLR season, and international games, we will produce monthly epsiodes at most.

In short, if there’s a Canada game, we’ll be weekly. If not, fortnightly or monthly.

We appreciate you sticking with us, and we look forward to what 2024 has to offer in Canadian Rugby.

Kindest regards,

Stu & Derek
